We had breakfast at Hotel Canal. We got a table by the window and had a nice view of the narrow canal outside.

After breakfast we headed towards Rialto in order visit some museums. We followed mostly the itinerary you can see on the map on this page.
We visited Fontego dei Turchi (Natural History Museum). The entry ticket was included in the price of Museum Pass + Rolling Venice Card. The museum was close to our hotel, near Scalzi Bridge, situated on the Grand Canal’s shore.

Amidst the vibrant Venice Carnival, our exploration of Murano and Burano captivated our hearts. In Murano, we marveled at exquisite glass artistry and historical treasures, while Burano’s colorful houses enchanted our senses. Enveloped in festive spirit, we rejoiced in the Carnival’s splendor at St. Mark’s Square, dining leisurely in Cannaregio, and cherishing unique Venetian souvenirs.

On our exhilarating second day at the Venice Carnival, we navigated the enchanting Rialto Market, indulging in local delights before crossing the Grand Canal. Our journey led us through St. Mark’s Square, where we marveled at breathtaking architecture and the lively atmosphere. We explored the majestic Doge’s Palace, capturing unforgettable memories while soaking in Venice’s vibrant carnival spirit.

We landed at Treviso airport at 2.00 pm. We bought 2 ATVO round trip tickets Treviso – Venice from the ATVO ticket office on the ground floor in the arrivals hall. We paid 44 euros for us both, compared to the 48 euros we would have paid if we bought 4 one-way tickets.
